city-hof I hamburg city center

City-Hof – Klosterwall is a high-rise complex by four skyscrapers linked by a shopping arcade and aligned to the main road in the city center of Hamburg, near the central station. This were one amongst the first skyscrapers, built after the Second World War in Hamburg. They represent an example of post-war modernism and stand since 2013 under monument protection. Originally equipped with a bright ceramic facade, they were changed with gray fiber cement panels in the 1970s. After a long-lasting discussion over redevelopment or new construction with many different concepts, it will soon be demolished and replaced by a new brick stone building complex. (Source Wikipedia)
The project explores the building complex from three angles: architecture – biotope – distance
